GET Group North America Announces Availability of CoreID Identity Management System (IDMS)

Waltham, Massachusetts, (October 9, 2018) – GET Group North America, a leading-edge provider of end-to-end solutions for secure credentials with over 20 years of experience in identity management, today announced the availability of the CoreID Identity Management System (IDMS). Seamlessly combining biometric capture capabilities with back-end database functionality, Core ID can be used to issue and track physical or digital credentials throughout the credential’s lifecycle, as well as to manage enrollment workflows and ensure only the appropriate enrollment biometrics and data are collected for a specific credential.

CoreID’s dynamic workflow management application enables the capture of personal identifiable information, biometrics, facial recognition and fraud detection to be configurable by an administrator at installation and modifiable whenever necessary. It enables administrators to have total control over devices and data architecture, providing a complete picture of the online/offline device topology.

The power of the CoreID product lies in the ability to integrate with virtually any relevant external application and devices such as figure and facial recognition systems, barcode and document readers, biometric capture devices, system of record and servers that the issuing authority already has, while upgrading their management system to the latest technology and security features available. Each CoreID management system is designed to be independent but can easily be paired with one another at any time. This allows the system to work in an online and offline mode, in case there is a power outage or an operator needs to enroll participants remotely.

“We are proud to support secure credentials from start to finish — including enrollment, personalization and issuance — and to protect those credentials with extensive security functionalities throughout their lifecycle,” said Joel Perez, Program & Solutions Director, GET Group North America. “CoreID is the latest in our end-to-end offerings and is easy to use and optimized for enrolling a maximum number of participants in the shortest amount of time and requiring less resources.”

GET Group NA is currently demonstrating CoreID’s ability to enroll personnel, capture photos, and manage the lifecycle of ID card issuance for law enforcement officers at IACP 2018 in booth 2807 with the PPG TESLIN® Substrate Products group and HD Barcode™ –each providers of a pivotal component for the issuance of secure credentials.

GET Group North America Partners with PPG TESLIN® Substrate Products and HD Barcode to Demonstrate End-to-End ID Card Issuance at IACP 2018

Companies’ Technologies Support the Full Issuance Lifecycle for Secure Credentials for Law Enforcement Officers

WHO:  GET Group North America, a leading-edge provider of end-to-end solutions for secure credentials with over 20 years of experience in identity management, will be exhibiting how its CP500 card printer can be used in conjunction with PPG TESLIN® substrate and HD Barcode™ technology for instant issuance of secure ID cards for law enforcement officers.

WHAT: GET Group NA’s CP500 card printer uniquely combines the superior forensics of 600dpi and durability of pigment ink with user-upgradeable features for personalization to deliver the most secure card printing solution on the market. The CP500 also provides added security features, such as the ability to incorporate holograms, barcodes, micro-text, and other characteristics to enhance security and hinder counterfeit production.

For more than two decades, the exceptionally flexible and durable PPG TESLIN substrate has been trusted by governments, security agencies and other card issuers around the world to enhance the security and integrity of more than a billion credentials, identification cards and electronic passports. It can be customized with embedded security features (e.g., taggants, IR and UV) for program-specific formulations that augment credential authentication and protection against forgery. PPG TESLIN substrate allows for high-definition color images and enables laser-engraving for quick and easy authentication. It delivers tamper-evident protection by permanently distorting if alteration is attempted.

HD Barcode™’s HD Code Blue is the most advanced, secure 2D code available, holding massive amounts of data. Each police department is provided their own Code Generator that allows them to create and embed a secure, encrypted code that only their department can read with authorized smartphones. Critical medical and emergency contact information can be added to existing ID cards via a waterproof Teslin label or printed on new ID cards with Teslin or with a card printer such as GET’s CP500. The code stays with the officer until needed, without requiring a database or the Internet.

GET Group will also be debuting its new CoreID Personal Data Management System (PDMS) at the show, and demonstrating its ability to enroll personnel, capture photos, and manage the lifecycle of ID card issuance.

GET Group North America Launches Digital Identity Solution

GET mID™ Allows Secure and Efficient Transition to Digital Identification

Waltham, MA (October 10, 2017) – GET Group North America, a leading-edge provider of end-to-end solutions for secure credentials with over 20 years of experience in identity management, has announced the launch of its digital identity platform, GET mID™. The new system, providing high assurance identity on a user’s mobile device, represents a convenient, secure and instant alternative to traditional physical identification documents, and utilizes formidable data encryption algorithms and communication security measures to combat fraud and reduce identity theft and the consequences thereof.

GET mID allows organizations across a multitude of sectors – including education, enterprise, retail and finance – as well as public institutions to issue high-assurance digital identification. Authentication is instant, and the security specifications of stored identities are configurable to meet ICAO, ISO and AAMVA standards, thus laying the foundation for a wide range of online identity-based services.

Identity providers will enable the GET mID App to be installed on citizens’ mobile devices to leverage high-assurance PKI technology in order to deliver comparable security assurances from mobile identification as that provided by high security chip cards, while enabling authentication capabilities across relying parties.

GET mID Authentication App gives relying parties the ability to inspect and verify a mobile ID for instant validation and authentication with the identity provider. It is enhanced with an automated process that can be performed on a wide variety of devices, from sophisticated e-gates and workstation terminals to standard NFC and Bluetooth- enabled smartphones and tablets.

“Today, physical IDs are often used in acts of fraud such as cashing checks, opening bank accounts and boarding flights. We’re proud to leverage extensive identity proofing technologies for enrolling, capturing, and accessing identity document data to help enable a secure transition to digital ID formats,” said Alex Kambanis, Managing Director for GET Group NA. “If done correctly, mobile IDs with multi-factor authentication will not only provide the convenience of being able to be instantly updated, but could become a more effective barrier against fraud by making it harder to produce counterfeits and elevating the quality of personal identification documents.”
