GET Group North America Partners with PPG TESLIN® Substrate Products and HD Barcode to Demonstrate End-to-End ID Card Issuance at IACP 2018

Companies’ Technologies Support the Full Issuance Lifecycle for Secure Credentials for Law Enforcement Officers

WHO:  GET Group North America, a leading-edge provider of end-to-end solutions for secure credentials with over 20 years of experience in identity management, will be exhibiting how its CP500 card printer can be used in conjunction with PPG TESLIN® substrate and HD Barcode™ technology for instant issuance of secure ID cards for law enforcement officers.

WHAT: GET Group NA’s CP500 card printer uniquely combines the superior forensics of 600dpi and durability of pigment ink with user-upgradeable features for personalization to deliver the most secure card printing solution on the market. The CP500 also provides added security features, such as the ability to incorporate holograms, barcodes, micro-text, and other characteristics to enhance security and hinder counterfeit production.

For more than two decades, the exceptionally flexible and durable PPG TESLIN substrate has been trusted by governments, security agencies and other card issuers around the world to enhance the security and integrity of more than a billion credentials, identification cards and electronic passports. It can be customized with embedded security features (e.g., taggants, IR and UV) for program-specific formulations that augment credential authentication and protection against forgery. PPG TESLIN substrate allows for high-definition color images and enables laser-engraving for quick and easy authentication. It delivers tamper-evident protection by permanently distorting if alteration is attempted.

HD Barcode™’s HD Code Blue is the most advanced, secure 2D code available, holding massive amounts of data. Each police department is provided their own Code Generator that allows them to create and embed a secure, encrypted code that only their department can read with authorized smartphones. Critical medical and emergency contact information can be added to existing ID cards via a waterproof Teslin label or printed on new ID cards with Teslin or with a card printer such as GET’s CP500. The code stays with the officer until needed, without requiring a database or the Internet.

GET Group will also be debuting its new CoreID Personal Data Management System (PDMS) at the show, and demonstrating its ability to enroll personnel, capture photos, and manage the lifecycle of ID card issuance.
