Company’s David Kelts Makes Secure Technology Alliance\’s Honor Roll for Second Consecutive Year with GET Group

Waltham, Massachusetts, (November 30, 2020) – GET Group North America (GET Group NA), an innovative developer of mobile ID technology with over 20 years of experience in secure government credentials, is pleased to announce that its Director of Mobile ID Product Development, David Kelts, has been named one of the top contributors on the Secure Technology Alliance’s 2020 Honor Roll, which recognizes the leading individual and member company contributors to Alliance activities and projects this year.

Randy Vanderhoof, executive director of the Secure Technology Alliance said, “Our annual honor roll helps us to recognize those who show outstanding leadership and dedication to the projects and resources we’ve produced in the last year.” The 2020 Honor Roll included 60 industry leaders and was compiled based on council leadership, project leadership, and project participation from 2019 to 2020.

This is David Kelts’ second consecutive year being recognized as a top contributor on the Honor Roll since joining GET Group North America. Mr. Kelts serves on the Identity Council, which provides leadership and coordination for the Alliance’s identity related efforts, with a particular focus on identity trust frameworks; digital identity; strong authentication; authorization; and biometrics. Identity Council activities and projects include raising awareness and providing thought leadership and education on real-world issues of implementing and operating identity and identity authentication and authorization systems.

The Secure Technology Alliance has been working to raise awareness, support development, accelerate adoption and educate the U.S. market on the upcoming state-issued mobile driver’s licenses (mDLs).

“The idea of mobile driver’s licenses and IDs continues gaining momentum as global business practices are being transformed for a post-COVID world, generating broad interest in enabling contactless transactions,” said Mr. Kelts. “The Identity Council’s work supporting the ISO 18013-5 mDL standard for mobile identity is a crucial condition for successful mobile ID implementations, because the standard assures data security that can be trusted. Contributing to this important work is an honor.”

Mr. Kelts is an expert in the fields of citizen-managed mobile ID, proofing and authentication, as well as a certified privacy technologist who holds fiveidentity and computer-related patents. He is also a key contributor to the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) mobile driver’s license (mDL) specification, 18013-5. In his role at GET Group North America, he leads the company’s efforts to ensure its mobile ID technology is in optimal compliance with the new ISO standard.
