GET Group North America Launches Digital Identity Solution

GET mID™ Allows Secure and Efficient Transition to Digital Identification

Waltham, MA (October 10, 2017) – GET Group North America, a leading-edge provider of end-to-end solutions for secure credentials with over 20 years of experience in identity management, has announced the launch of its digital identity platform, GET mID™. The new system, providing high assurance identity on a user’s mobile device, represents a convenient, secure and instant alternative to traditional physical identification documents, and utilizes formidable data encryption algorithms and communication security measures to combat fraud and reduce identity theft and the consequences thereof.

GET mID allows organizations across a multitude of sectors – including education, enterprise, retail and finance – as well as public institutions to issue high-assurance digital identification. Authentication is instant, and the security specifications of stored identities are configurable to meet ICAO, ISO and AAMVA standards, thus laying the foundation for a wide range of online identity-based services.

Identity providers will enable the GET mID App to be installed on citizens’ mobile devices to leverage high-assurance PKI technology in order to deliver comparable security assurances from mobile identification as that provided by high security chip cards, while enabling authentication capabilities across relying parties.

GET mID Authentication App gives relying parties the ability to inspect and verify a mobile ID for instant validation and authentication with the identity provider. It is enhanced with an automated process that can be performed on a wide variety of devices, from sophisticated e-gates and workstation terminals to standard NFC and Bluetooth- enabled smartphones and tablets.

“Today, physical IDs are often used in acts of fraud such as cashing checks, opening bank accounts and boarding flights. We’re proud to leverage extensive identity proofing technologies for enrolling, capturing, and accessing identity document data to help enable a secure transition to digital ID formats,” said Alex Kambanis, Managing Director for GET Group NA. “If done correctly, mobile IDs with multi-factor authentication will not only provide the convenience of being able to be instantly updated, but could become a more effective barrier against fraud by making it harder to produce counterfeits and elevating the quality of personal identification documents.”

GET Group North America Debuting Commercial Identity Verification (CIV) Smart Card at connect:ID 2017

Showcasing Solutions for Identity Management and Biometric Live Capture in Booth 311

Waltham, MA (April 25, 2017) – GET Group North America, a leading-edge solutions provider with over 20 years of experience in identity management, today announced the availability of its new GET CIV card, a Commercial Identity Verification (CIV) smart card compliant with the U.S. government’s FIPS201-2 specifications for identity credentials. GET CIV is a secure corporate ID which combines physical and digital identification, enabling a high degree of trust in both logical and physical access systems within the issuing organization’s PKI and policies. GET Group NA will be showcasing GET CIV in booth 311 at connect:ID 2017taking place May 1-3, 2017 in Washington, D.C.

The GET CIV credential card can be rapidly issued and leverages compliance with FIPS201-2 and Personal Identity Verification (PIV). It also allows reuse of existing tools such as authentication and digital signing solutions and eliminates the challenges and costs of organizations defining and deploying their own credential capability. The workflow and card layout can be fully customized to meet the issuing organization’s requirements and both small and large implementation models can be supported based on organizational capabilities.

Enrollment and biometric capture workstations can be implemented to issue CIV cards quickly. GET Group North America offers a biometric live capture solution through a partnership with Speed Identity. The solution features live enrollment capabilities so that all captured biometric data is collected at one time, ensuring data is securely tied to the applicant. This reduces the enrollment time to just a few minutes; secures the process from application input to immediate ID document production output; and allows biometric data to be in compliance with the highest standards and regulations.

“GET Group NA is proud to continue to grow our portfolio of solutions which make identity management simpler and more secure,” said Alex Kambanis, Managing Director for GET Group NA. “Connect:ID 2017 will provide the perfect opportunity to showcase the advantages of the GET CIV card and demonstrate how our other products like the biometric live capture solution and our personalization equipment can work in conjunction to provide the highest degree of identity assurance.”

GET Group North America Receives FIPS 201 Certification for CP500 Identification Card Printer

Waltham, MA (August 9, 2016) – GET Group North America, a provider of high-assurance security solutions that enhance Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) operations, today announced that its CP500 identification card printer has been  Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 201 certified by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

The CP500 card printer is the world’s most advanced desktop printing solution for identification card and personalized access management solutions. Built on more than two decades of proven experience in delivering highly secure passport and ID solutions for governments all over the globe, the CP500 uniquely combines the superior forensics of 600dpi and durability of pigment ink with user-upgradeable features for personalization to deliver the most secure card printing solution on the market.

The FIPS 201 certification process was developed as part of the response to the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) to establish identification and authentication standards for Federal employees and contractors accessing secure facilities and information systems.

The 600dpi pigment ink technology of the CP500 allows for the highest-quality cards possible, combining superior resistance to wear, fading, and long-term color integrity with the highest-resolution images in the world for easy point-of-use verification and authenticity protection. The ability to add, at time of card personalization, level 2 micro-printing and/or anti-counterfeiting security features differentiates the CP500 and 600dpi printer technology. In order to make the FIPS 201 Evaluation Program’s list of approved products, the CP500 underwent rigorous testing and evaluation by the GSA to ensure the product met Federal standards for ICAM implementation.  Its security features protect against card duplication and the threat of counterfeit ID production.

“We are pleased to be recognized by the GSA for our ability to keep up with the complex and evolving ICAM landscape by offering a product that can help safeguard the identities of Federal employees and contractors with access to locations where maintaining security is paramount,” said Alex Kambanis, Managing Director for GET Group NA.

The CP500 is available today for purchase exclusively from selected premium resellers.
